Hello,

I am using a drop-down list for a field with a value list. I have noticed the following. If I turn off the "Include arrow to show and hide list", whenever I click into this field the menu opens up. If I turn this on, I click into the field and nothing happens unless I click on the arrow to open the list. What I would like to do is use the arrow but ALSO allow the user to click in the field and have the list open up when they use the DOWN arrow. Is something like this possible? I can capture onobjectkeystroke for the down arrow, but I can't get the filed's value list to open up.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Stephen

Don't choose the option "Include arrow to show and hide list". Instead, make a little graphic of an arrow that you put on the right corner of the drop down field.

I ended up doing the following. Since it takes me back to the first field and since I wanted this to be "easy" to implement, I have a Script Parameter that tells the number of the tab order and then I do a loop to go to the next field that number of times. It's not the most elegant but it seems to be working since it's on a layout with relatively few fields (4 or 5). For now it's working well and I like the functionality.

It seems like your 2nd post is addressing a new issue, that doesn't have to do with the little down arrow on a drop down list.
