Filemaker Server 12.0.4 dropping user connections

Featured Replies

We have a client running Filemaker Server 12.0.4 on a Mac mini over a Gigabit network. Client stations are running OS X 10.7.5. The server was also running this, but we upgraded it now to OS X 10.8.5 in hopes of improvements. We have replaced the Fast Ethernet switches with Gigabit a few months back. The problem was not happening until around 6 months ago and it seems to be getting worse. Does anyone have any thoughts on what this might be? It is possible that it started following one of the Java updates that broke support for the Filemaker Server Admin interface. We have reinstalled Filemaker Server and are on the latest Java patch.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Be sure "server" is not set to sleep after some period of inactivity. Also be sure there is no Spotlight turned on.  Do the logs reveal anything about the environment at the time of the dropped connections.  Also, presumably, the dropped connections are not the result of a user's exceeding the idle disconnect time limit.
