ESS ODBC as a data source for FMS 13

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Another round of trying to make this work!!

I have FM Server 13 in Windows 7 64bit box. I have configured System DNS in both 32 and 64 bit with the same name and NT Windows authentication

I can create a file in FMPA13  in the FMS box and see my DNS, and pull data thru the Relation tables from my SQL server,  I open the file without a password and I can see my SQLServer  data.

But, when I open the file hosted in the Server,  it ask me for a password ?? it does not accept my Windows login so I have no idea what to put??

Any ideas?

Thank you!
Eva

Are the credentials saved in both of the DNS setups?

Also, when you setup the External source in FileMaker, you should enter and save the credentials.

Even though you said you don't have a password, do you at least have an account name on your SQL database?

Hi Jerry,

Thanks!

There are no credentials in the DNS, they are Windows Authenticated, or so I thought.

So, you are saying that in the DataSource in FM I should put a login?

My windows login can access the SQL DB I am trying to reach.

I try the Specify user name and password with my Windows login and that did not work!

Prompt user for name and password, does that but I do not know what does expect, what name and user??

What is SPN for windows authentication?

I wish there was more information about the edit Data Source dialog
