I've a hosted database with a container field that contains pdf stored externally and open (not encrypted).

The database has thousands of pdfs that were imported from a disk by a record-by-record script, those pdf can be seen from any fm client without problem.

Now I've uploaded a pdf from a OS X clients, but the file doesn't show in Windows machines, instead I get a "file not found" message, but the files are there because they can be seen from the OS X client.

I remark that the problem is only with the files that were uploaded manually using the command 'Insert PDF' from the container field contextual menu from an OS X client, all the other pdfs (imported through a script) can be seen from any client.

I've seen a couple of posts about it in the forum but none of them seems to 'hit the nail'.

Thanks,

sounds like the files were inserted 'as reference' only, which makes them point to the file through the OS's reference path.  That path is different from a windows machine which is why don't show up...
