On Saturday December 22nd @Lee Smith lost his battle with cancer.

He has been a long time community contributor, moderator of this site and friend. He has helped many newbies navigate this site in search of answers, examples and inspiration.

I've extended condolences to his family. Although we never had the chance to meet in person, over many years Lee and I would visit via FaceTime a few times a month and chat about all sorts of things, FileMaker, cats, family. We'd banter about the site and how to make it as friendly and welcoming as possible. He was diligent in encouraging folks to fill out their profiles ;) in so their posts were well received. 

I am grateful to have known him and will cherish our memories.

    I am so sorry to hear of this. He was a fine fellow even though I never met him in person. RIP Lee.

    Thank you for letting us know, Stephen.  I will miss him too.

    Deep sadness.  I also never met him, but enjoyed our back and forth emails.
