Illogical Open File dialog?

Hi experts

I'm wondering why the Open File Dialog always appears after FMP is started up by double-clicking on a file icon? This is illogical and annoying. Is there any way to turn this off, or is it a bug?

Thanks

Version: v7.x

Platform: Mac OS X Jaguar

if you are running the demo the it will only happen on the first lauch because of the days left warning, try double clicking after the app is already loaded

Do you mean that this problem only exists on the trial version?

Version: v7.x

Platform: Mac OS X Jaguar

My Trial Version doesn't give me an Open File dialogue when I click on a database file. I do get the "Tye" or "Buy Now" dialogue of course.

If you click on the application icon, it is supposed to give you an Open File dialogue. Perhaps that's what's happening.

Once the application is open, there is no dialog. But if you start the application and open a file at the same time by double-clicking a fmp-file icon, the user will be shown the Open File dialog, which doesn't make sense.

If this is only a trial-version feature due to the Try/Buy dialog, I have no problem with it. Otherwise, it will make v7 useless. How would you explain such a "feature" to a customer? ...

So, if somebody could confirm that this is only a trial-version problem, I would feel better. Thanks!

Can't say what the issue is in your case, but if I double-click an .fp7 file, it gets opened by FMP7 (full version) and that's all. No dialogs appear.
