Hi,

One field in my database shows a list of text options, but 95% of the time the entry will be the first option. Is there a way to get the field to default to that text when I create the record?

There are several meanings to the word "first" option. If it's a known entry, then, in Define Fields for that field, use Options, auto-enter, text, "the entry" (just type it in the box).

Or do you mean the first entry that appears at the top of the values list? Once again, there's more than one kind of values list. If you know the word, use the method above. I can't see what else you could mean; if different please write in and clarify, with an example.
