Charles Delfs Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Has / does anyone use multiple monitors with vers. 7? Are there any ways to have different layouts on 2 screens. I suspect this may be a problem because windows in FMP are MDI children and not seperated. Perhaps using a 3rd part monitor utility? A bandaid approaach may be to run 7 and Dev 7 simultainiously? ... I would like hear what others are doing or have tried. Charles FileMaker Version: 7 Platform: Windows XP

Fenton Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Is v.7 different in this respect? I don't have 2 PC monitors, so I can't tell you much, but I've used v.6 on PC's at offices on 2 monitors, no problem. I don't know how they did it, but they were not computer wizards by any means, so it must not have been too difficult.
CoZiMan Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 As per comment by Charles Delfs - works great and no issues on mac. Waiting for info on a pC . . .
BrentHedden Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 For Windows, I can't get the FileMaker application itself automatically open across two or more monitors. I can stretch it out after it's opened. You can position/size individual layout windows across multiple monitors either when it's first displayed, or manually after the fact.
