FM 7 Rev FYI

Featured Replies

I just returned from the FileMaker sponsored "The magnificent 7 Tour" and someone in the audiance remarked how sharp and clear the fonts displayed on this copy of FM Pro 7. The presentor then revealed that they were using a soon to be released revison that addressed font and other screen drawing issues. Oh happy day!

Hey, that was me. Pretty good meeting. After the meeting I pressed them for a release date. They wouldn't budge. I think somone on this forum said FM told them the beginning of the summer. I ask them about that and they would give a straight answer. I for one know none of our users (around 50 cilents ranging from 5 -50 computers each) will not upgrade untill this is fixed.

I just wish they would give an answer. It is obviously fixed.

I did not mean to steal your thunder but I too have been waiting anxiously for FM to fix font handling as well as some other screen drawing issues. Until they do I cannot bring the product to my IS department and argue for its adoption.

Why don't they just release what they've got right now, and release a later revision with whatever else they're working on? Call me crazy, but I think that would make a lot of people happy.

A little bird told me that Server and possibly some other stuff was coming out next week.
