Disallow mouse wheel scroll

Featured Replies

Unlike Mac users, I'm having a problem where I need to stop the mouse wheel from changing records. Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it?

As a second issue, (which would negate the first) is it possible to trigger a script/action to happen when the user switches records?

(I need to force certain locked records into a layout where users cannot modify them)

Thanks.

Hide and lock the status area.

Use buttons to navigate between records that contain the scripts you desire.

Is there some trick to locking the status area, as when I hide it, I am still able to scroll through records when using my mouse wheel (PC).

I guess is it also possible to remove the bottom bar that allows a user to open and close the status area/layouts/view percentages?

Thank you.

To lock the status area you need to use the "Show/Hide Status Area" script step. Closing it manually with the button in the corner does not give you the option to lock the status area.

Hey this is great!

I've been putting up with this for some time now, and didn't reaize that locking the status area actually prevented this. I actually had done lots of work arounds suing "go to realted record (self) - show only related records". This saves so many headaches and so much time - I feel so stupid for not knowing about this earlier!

Thanks!

Is this something I can put in the VB for Access and do you have a code example.
