I am making a multifile solution. For reasons I can't figure out, the Arrow-to-hand over a button feature on FM7 does not display even though this is checked on the appropriate menu. In most of the files this feature works fine but on a select few it does not. All files are relatively new and no settings have been changed. Any suggestion on where the problem might be?

Thanks for any help. smirk.gif

I haven't run into this problem in fm7.

But could it be that you have add the text or a graphic to the button which is covering up the actual button, so as then the hand actually would not appear?

Other than that I can not see this ever occuring?

Covering a button with text, graphics or portals will make no difference. If there is a script attached anywhere under a PILE of graphics, it will still turn into a hand.

As far as I know, there is no place to specify this setting in a Menu; only when assigning a script to an object or button. I have not heard or experienced any problems with this feature - either in vs. 6 or in 7. It is possible that you assigned the script to a smaller piece than the whole button or object (such as just the arrow, or just text) so the User must point precisely before it switches to the hand. Did you check it? Right-click on the object, select Specify Button and make sure the checkbox 'Change to Handcursor over button' is checked. smirk.gif

If still a no-go then you have something wonky for sure.
