A file thinks it is open when it isnt.

Cant open, copy or import.

Is there any thing I can do??

Check the permissions?

The non shared file was opened accross a network which went down. So i dont think is a permissions thing.

Update:

Although the Finder wouldnt let me duplicate the file ( because it sensed it was open) I was allowed to copy the file to a different drive. I renamed the old file and moved the copied file back to it original location.

Since I cant delete the old file I'll have to go into the terminal to achieve that aim.
