Couldn't think of a better title b/c I don't really know the jargon yet. I have to explain with example.

In my Movie Database, I want to be able to click on a record within a portal and have that record come up in a separate layout. Is this possible? Is it hard to do?

For example, in my layout there is a portal that serves as the Crew List. So for the record, Pulp Fiction, I want to be able to click on John Travolta within the portal and then go to layout [Person] to John Travolta's record.
