Specify Find Requests using a variable?

Hey All,

The new "Specify Find Requests" option in FMP7 allows the manual entry of static search criteria, is there a way to search on a global value. For instance, I want the user to enter the a SS # through a CUstom Dialog in a gloabal field, then pass this info to the FInd script using the "Specify FInd Requests". Is this possible. I know how to do it with a scripted "Enter Find Mode"=> "Insert Calculated Result" =>Perform Find, but I thought maybe there was a new possibility here... Thanks

The Specify option is used for static finds only, similar to the way one would perform a find manually, then add 'Restore' to a Perform Find or Enter Find Mode step. For dynamic requests, Set Field is still required. Note that Insert Calculated Result is no longer needed for setting date ranges.

Thanks! At least now I can move forth boldly in the re-scripting/ migration process.
