Newbies srisathano Posted October 22, 2004 Newbies Posted October 22, 2004 In the Edit Scripts dialog box, there is a Script Step Options section. Depending on the commands you choose from the left side of the dialog box, check boxes are displayed in the Options section. FM v.6.0 had a check box labeled Request Find Scripts and FM v7.0 has a check box labeled Specify Find Requests. Why are these labeled differently? Would they give the same end result if these check boxes are checked? Is there anything more that we need to do before we click OK in the Edit Script dialog box? Thanks Srilakshmi
-Queue- Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 The previous option should be Restore find requests, which saves the criteria of the most recently performed find before the script step is added and can be changed by performing another find and selecting the Replace option for Find requests, when closing the script. 7 allows you to use Specify Find Requests within the script itself, assuming they are static requests. If they are dynamic, then you still have to Enter Find Mode [ ] and use Set Field or Insert Calculated Result to set your request(s).
