Newbies Jumpin' John Posted October 24, 2004 Newbies Posted October 24, 2004 I just purchased and installed FM7. I am unable to use the help file. When I select the menu for help, a blank help screen comes up. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm using a powerbook w/ MacOS 10.34 thanks, John
LiveOak Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I would guess that either 1) the install was not successful or 2) there is some kind of permissions problem. I'd start with reinstalling and repairing permissions. If you have Disk Warrior 3.0.2 or Norton Utilities 8.0, I'd probably try running one first just to make sure the system is clean. -bd
Newbies Jumpin' John Posted October 24, 2004 Author Newbies Posted October 24, 2004 Thanks. OK, I deleted FM7 folder from Applications, and deleted FMpreferences folder from home library. Turned off Virex, re-installed FM7, repaired permissions, and still no help... I don't have disk-warrior or norton, so haven't tried that... I guess I'll have to use my one free support call Monday to see if FM support has any ideas. Thanks again for your response.
