way to lock fields from view (or set print this?)

I'd like to know if there is a way to hide a certain field on a certain record from view on a report.

(ie. create a "do not print this field on this record" button.)

(not every occurrence of the field, just maybe on a handful of records)

You could create a calculated field which would be null for the particular records you don't want to print.
