I have a set of records in the layout, some 50 or so. I want to be able to add new records, copy old ones etc and then modify them, but I need to put them in particular places. When I copy or make new records, they always go to the end of the list, and I cannot move them. New ones are always the last to show. How can I arrange the order of the records to suit my needs?

FileMaker always displays records by creation order, unless you sort them otherwise. If you sort a found set by a unique field, then a duplicated record will appear directly underneath its original. If you sort by a field that isn't unique, then a duplicated record will appear at the end of its sorted group.
