I am running FileMaker 6 Unlimited on a server machine which also serves CDML to my clients. On another Mac I have been testing and configuring FileMaker 7, Network sharing and Instant Web Publishing is turned of on FM 7. It seems that something FM 7 is doing is freezing up FM 6 on the server machine (the colored, spinning beach ball appears). It does not happen all the time, but enough that I have to keep checking to see if FM 6 has frozen up.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on here?

are you trying to open any of the 6 files from the 7 install? If you converted the 6 files to 7 and are using those on the new install without cleaning out the file references you might have 7 trying to look at the hosted 6 files (although I haven't seen that behaviour at all). If you don't need networking on the 7 machine, unplug the network cable and see if it makes a difference.
