ukdave Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 A study book of Filemaker Pro 7 that I am using, whilst describing the Edit Menu explains that standard commands such as Cut, Copy and Paste etc are there. It goes on to say that the Export Field Contents (still under the Edit heading) lets you export the contents of a field to a file that you can select. However I don't know if it is me (I hope not having posted this!) but I cannot see this command in the evaluation download I am using. Can some help me to find this command please. Thanks. David
Fenton Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 It's at the bottom of the Edit menu on mine, Mac OS X; don't know about XP.
andygaunt Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Export Field Contents is in the Edit menu on XP, above the Sharing and Preferences options.
ukdave Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 Thanks Andy and others. Sorry about being "thick"! Yes in XP it is "dimmed" until I open a file and I missed it. However a little earlier (because I haven't a clue yet as to what I am doing because I am at the beginning of the study book) I had tried to find it in the Layout section after opening a file! And of course it is not present. Later I looked in a field that had CONTENTS and it was of course available!! Anyhow understood and thanks again. David
