Jodin Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 ok fm7 is making me quite self-aware of my lack of independence. it seems that every time i try to do anything in the define databases dialog (tables/fields/relationships) and close it i spend a solid 20-30 seconds rebuilding my dependencies. i don't have all that much to my system yet -- about 20 mostly empty tables and a tangle of various relationships but no external files. my machine is not a speed demon (G4/400) but c'mon, this is such a drag to work like this. anyone else experiencing this speed hit whenever messing with the relationship graph?

laker_42 Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Was this upgraded from an earlier version of FMP? If so you should check your file references. I found that there was a ton of old refrences in there and when I cleaned it up it ran a ton faster. HTH, John
