stevie.at Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Has anybody tried the new training software released by "The Support Group"? 'Rich Coulombre Presents: Advancing to FileMaker Pro 7' training software to anyone who attends our 4-day 'What's Next? Advancing to FileMaker 7' training class! Our office thinks about ordering it...I use FM just for a few month and would see myself as mid-level-advancing-every-day-user...Made my way through different books and many try&errors. So I'm not sure about this software and the benefit it might bring! Any experience???

jhomer Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Our company picked up those discs for me and to be honest they are worth it. The first disc will cover all the things you have probably been struggling through and then the second disc goes into more detail with calculations and scripting. If your just begining im positive it will help you.
BrentHedden Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 I wouldn't hesitate to say that anything that The Support Group puts out is going to be high-quality stuff. The only downside is that it might be out our your budget, as is the case with me. A lower-cost alternate that I can suggest is the "FileMaker Professional Training Foundation Series II for FileMaker 7" book & CD. This is supposed to be the classbook for FileMaker's authorized training classes. However, you can buy just the book and example CD directly from FileMaker for about $100. I've read through about 1/2 of it, and it's already paid itself off.
