Backing up (via Toast) locks my privileges

Well, that's about it! My original file works fine. When I make a backup on a CD (Using Toast Platinum) the file becomes "unmodifiable," and I cannot change the privileges or, for that matter, use it at all. I.e., no new entries, etc.

You can not modify anything on a CD. However, you should be able to pull it back onto your Hard Drive, it should work.
