I currently have a large database running on Q&A on DOS. I am looking to migrate this over to FM but I'm not sure how to transfer the programming and whether FM will understand it. Any ideas? ...or do I have to start from scratch with just the data?

Welcome to the Forums.

I agree with Steve - you're going to have to start from scratch. You'd be best off doing that anyway, as you can take advantage of FileMaker's particular powers, and you'd end up with something which would run smoothly (and hopefully, would be well-documented). It might not be easy, but it's the way to go.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I will go and shut myself away for the next few months and start programming from the beginning!
