Newbies TheRealBambi Posted October 12, 2005 Newbies Posted October 12, 2005 I purchased FileMaker 7 so that it would work on my Mac and PC. I've been using it on the Mac and wanted to set it up on the PC for a contact manager on both system. It won't install on the PC. Is this normal? Cheers, Bambi :
Lee Smith Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 No. You should be able to install it on both machines. However, you can not share the solution on a LAN without a second password, but in Single User Mode, it should work. FileMaker will not open if a copy of FileMaker with the same serial number is already open on a Network. HTH Lee
stanley Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Bambi: Welcome to the Forums. If FMP won't install at all, check the system requirements. Perhaps your PC falls short - I can't remember exactly what the requirements were for FMP7, but it won't work on every box, that's for sure. -Stanley
