wintergreen Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Is anyone here having problems with activation? The problem I've had is that I had to reinstall due to a hard disk crash, at which point filemaker refuses to activate, saying I need to first deactivate the previous installation. Well, seeing as how my time machine is out of gas, I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to do that. And once again filemaker's stellar support has responded with... absolutely no reply. Anyone have any suggestion? Otherwise I think I'll have to start down the murky path of pirated software-- and if I have to do that, I'm never ever upgrading again.
Colin Keefe Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Start by reading this Knowledge Base Article: Deactivation and Reinstalling And this one: Software Activation, what you need to know! The second link is basically a list of articles around this technology; hopefully this'll get you where you need to go.
