Can't print black text

Has anyone found a way to print text in black ink only when printing to a digital press? FM changes 100% Black to 74 Cyan, 71 Magenta, 64% Yellow, 87% Black. I'm guessing that FM is using a color profile to convert the values. Maybe someone had found a way to actually print black as black. Should not be a hard thing to do.

I have removed all color profiles from the system. To the point where FM crashed when I go to edit a color. I had to replace at lease the generic CMYK for the sliders to work. But even then it seems like a generice RGB profile exists.

I have also turned off color matching in the print setting in my scripts.

This is not an issue in FM 6 running in OS 9.2. However there is not an endless supply of G4s, we are trying to move past OS9.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

OR----as a workaround is it possible to assign color to a text field based on the contents of a container field? I know that a placed CMYK swatch from PhotoShop will print correctly.
