Newbies DavidOB Posted February 4, 2009 Newbies Posted February 4, 2009 I'm an old dBase and Foxbase user, one who worked primarily at the command line level. I'm slowly making my way with Filemaker Pro v7 and want to simply print out the file structure - I guess they are now called data tables............but despite many searches through the Help menu, I've been unable to find out how to print the structure. Can anyone offer a quick solution? Thanks.
bcooney Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 It depends upon what you mean by "structure." In FM7Advanced, you can run a Database Design Report (DDR). You can print each tables field list and definitions by choosing Print on the Manage Database Tables tab.
Newbies DavidOB Posted February 4, 2009 Author Newbies Posted February 4, 2009 That's exactly what I'd need, but I don't have the developer's or the advanced version........and apparently that feature is not available in the standard version 7.
bcooney Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 A DDR isn't available in standard. However, you can print field listings and their definitions.
