stefwef Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I am running a script in FMP 9 on a mac that opens up a window with related records in order to act on the related records. I have made this window 1 pixel tall and 1 pixel wide, but this little box of a window still flashes if only briefly in a way that I'd like to avoid. Is there a way to hide the window but still have it be the active window for the script? I feel like there should be an obvious answer for this but I am stuck stuck stuck! Thanks! - Stephanie
stefwef Posted June 25, 2010 Author Posted June 25, 2010 Thank you! I'll test out how many pixels is way out of the way. ;o)
Mike J Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Anything > than the screen width (if you want it to be to the far right or the screen height. I put mine 1 pixel 1 pixel 5000 pixel to the right.
xochi Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 people have more than one screen, so this may not work in all cases. On OSX I recently had a weird case where the user had their secondary screen located ABOVE their main screen (e.g. the menubar was sandwiched between the two screens). This broke some of my assumptions about a safe "offscreen" coordinate :
