Posting for search engines - delete if not warranted:

When installing Filemaker Pro Server or Server Advanced and the following error message appears:

"There has been an error connecting to the Admin Console"

Check to see that the machine does not have a proxy configured. If it does:

1. Remove proxy settings

2. Restart machine (Java has crashed)

Run Admin Console again.
