El_Pablo Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Hi there, I have a huge file with a single table that is only for files and photos. The file size is 27 Gb (200k+ images)! We need these photos for our reports. I am considering the supercontainer plugin, but I would like to know how others manage this many image files without the plugin. I can't store the reference since most workers are work from their home. The FP7 is used by our main database as an external data source. Thanks
Russell Barlow Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 This depends a lot on your users and how your network is setup. Personally, SuperContainer is amazing for exactly what your doing. Feel free to ask some specifics and I'll try to answer. We use to store graphics in a database until we got SuperContainer and it has transformed our solution.
El_Pablo Posted July 28, 2011 Author Posted July 28, 2011 We have 2 servers in our network. FMS is hosted on a mac mini server and the rest on a brand new HP Proliant ML370 monster. The workers will work in a virtualized environment using RDP in a few weeks. Do you think using references would be better in that case?
