I am a degree qualified IT professional, specialising in databases, ERP solutions, and programming - with 10 years experience.

And I have worked for some of the largest corporations in the world, as well as many small businesses and individuals.

I am offering my services here, because I started out developing on the FileMaker platform. And I have seen a lot of companies and individuals suffer FileMaker pain - including data loss. When I first started out in computing, programming FileMaker, I saw a lot of pain. I wanted to come back one day, and help the community that got me started. You will see in my profile I first joined this site in 2005.

I offer

Free, vendor independent advice on your nightmare/problem (within limits).

First look analysis about how bad your nightmare is, and advice on exit strategies.

Very reasonable development costs, for situations I am interested in helping you out with. I may not be interested in developing/working on your particular problem(past giving advice).

If you are are a charity, I can offer free development, for a limited time, for good causes (subject to availability).

What I do not offer

I do not guarantee to work on your particular problem indefinitely. However I do guarantee that if I take you on, I will only stop developing for you when you are in good shape, and are in another set of capable hands.

24 hour support. I am one man, and I need sleep. I also have other professional commitments. I guarantee to respond to you in a timely manner. And in all likelihood, the amount of support you would need after taking up a solution I offer would be very minimal.

I am trying to open a database remotely, not using IWP.  Host computer is on machine here in the Wisconsin office, and I need access from Seattle.

 

Using FM 8.5, and would like someone to login remotely and get me up and running.  Let me know if this is something you could handle.  Not looking for a freebie.
