Looking for a solution on a "DropDown" field that is Huge (5,000 records +) it seems that the "Type ahead" is not working in FMGO, but works fine in FM 12.....

 

Is there a work around for this? or did I miss something?

When users are selecting from a list of more than a couple dozen options, it's usually better to script a process that takes the user to a separate layout (usually in a new window on a desktop) that provides tools for filtering the larger list of options (like a Quick Find), then returns to the original layout and enters the user's selection.

This is known as 'Auto complete with existing values'

 

This is from the techbrief on v1.21. Check the current user guide for any changes, but I doubt there will be any.

 

Auto-complete is not supported on FileMaker Go. Text fields with option “auto-complete using existing values” will behave as though the setting were turned off. Likewise, when entering data, users cannot insert text from an index in FileMaker Go.
