Hello,

Using Save Records as PDF command and I have a layout used for printing purposes thats 8.5" x 11" When I save this file via script from a desktop, I get a single page PDF as expected. When I perform the script from FMgo, I get a two-page output. The second page is blank. Any ideas on how to force it to one page from FMgo?

My script looks very similar to this:

Thanks

Sort of solved. I added a page setup script step before saving the PDF. I made sure to set sheet size is letter and I set the scaling to 98% and it puts it all one one page.

I am having the same problem, but I can't find where you can set the scaling. Can you post your final script with settings?

Thanks,

Printer driver differences?

On Mac OS the printer setup can be 'Any Printer', which is typically the lowest common denominator. If you turn on the page guides in Layout then FM should show you the edges of the page based on the current printer setup.

There's also no need to try to fill your layout from very top to very bottom. 1 pixel less than the whole page should get you a single page output every time - but bear in mind where I started - drivers?

Page scaling and the generic "any printer" option (and print to pdf) is standard on Mac OS X but not WindOS. The page scaling option is usually available in WindOS if the driver is Postscript, but PS drives are not always available and if they are they are usually not installed by default so it cannot be relied upon even for PS printers.

To make the printing more portable, consider using only the intersection of A4 and US Letter as your design template, then use the auto-sizing feature to allow the objects to expand if there is more room (or let them centre themselves on the page).

A4 = 210 x 297 mm

US Letter = 216 x 279 mm

US Legal = 216 x 355 mm

A design template for a "safe" print layout should be 210x279 mm.

The challenge that I am having is that the text / font size appears to be totally different on the PC vs the iPad. I'm using the Arial font, which is supported on the iPad. But if I have an text field, I noticed that the lines break at different points on the iPad vs the PC, which causes the field to automatically grow. It is really bizarre behavior.
