ScottBaxter Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Hi Guys, We currently have a FileMaker Server instanace running, it already has PHP web publishing running. I'm just wondering is it as simple as ticking enable XML web publishing for it to be up and running or have I got to restart the server?? Thanks
Steven H. Blackwell Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 The XML web publishing option has nothing to do with PHP connectivity. PHP uses XML, but that is a different option. Use the PHP option in the Console to enable PHP. Steven
ScottBaxter Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Thanks for the reply Steven... I was just wondering do you have to restart the server once you have enabled XML.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Don't restart the entire machine itself, but maybe restart the database server part from the Console. Steven
Rick Whitelaw Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Steven, Do you mean simply turning the server button off and then on again? Rick.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 No No. Don't ever do that. I mean restarting the database server service from the command line or from the Console. Steven
Rick Whitelaw Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 No No. Don't ever do that. I mean restarting the database server service from the command line or from the Console. Steven I meant the button in the Admin Console, not the physical button on the machine!
