Validation path on additional folder problem

Featured Replies

Hi all, is anybody able to use a different path in FMS 13?

I tried to use an external drive to put a container field content, but it's not working.

this is the path, but i can't validate it.

filemac:/Volumes/Tam Tam Drive Sounds/TTS_Catalogue/

how it works?

seems to be too strange for a "new feature server" claimed.

regards

If you use an external drive connected to the server machine a user must be logged into the machine for the drive to be useable.

Wouldn't be caused by spaces in the file/folder names?

I thought external drives were only for backups.

I would not recommend using an external mapped drive to store live data.  Too vulnerable.

Having said that; FMS runs as user fmserver of group fmsadmin.  So the privileges on the external drive have to be set so that this user and group have read/write/execute rights.
