Fatal error opening Smart Publisher (Pre1)

I receive a fatal error each time I open Smart Publisher (Pre1).

Running Win98, database resides on a NT4 server.

I believe it is related to a TCP/IP issue but I am new to FM and have no idea how to begin troubleshooting this issue.

Any insights or perhaps a reccomended pre1 specific newsgroup?
