Chetgeo Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 I'm not exactly sure which form to post this one under? Can you program your Function keys (windows) to be used in Filemaker? ie.. F2 = New Record If so can you point me in the right direction so I can read up on this. Thanx
Rangoon Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 There are many programs on the market that allow you to assign F keys to most all programs, including FileMaker. What FileMaker dose offer is the ability to assign F keys to scripts. All you have to do is write a script and click the check box to the left of the script and you're good to go. hj
andygaunt Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Well, it isn't an 'F' key. It allows you to assign the number keys to a script along with the CTRL key (CMD on a Mac) So, you can assign CTRL & 1 - 0 to scripts.
Rangoon Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Thanks Andy, I would not want to get someone going or thinking the wrong direction. I didn't reailzie I said F key on the script side until I read your post. Keep me straight man, it's a full time job. hj
Chetgeo Posted January 7, 2003 Author Posted January 7, 2003 Thanx anyways.. maybe filemaker will add that ability in a near future version??
