I have a solution that is printing out invoices the solution is distributed in run-time.

I would like to setup so the user can change the layout of the invoice, but in run-time is this locked so in this case I would need to sell FMP to the user as well.

My questions is can a normal user handle to make up a new layout for the invoice or how do you guys do this. It feels scaring to allow users in to layout mode god know what they can do in there or can I look out same futures so they can

We also do similar solutions. One way we handle it is to just lock out the user. They can't edit the layouts but we provide several they can choose from by using a "wizard".

Some can be edited and this is done by them picking from a drop-down list we provide and then they're taken to that layout and then put into layout mode. We also have a message that tells them that they can modify this layout at their own risk and if they make any mistakes it's their own bloody fault.
