could someone direct me in the direction i should take in order to correctly format bulleted lists in filemaker? it seems as though, when i insert TABS into the document, it will look great on screen, but printing is a different story. all the text gets jumbled around. any suggestions?

I suggest that you try displaying the text ruler (via the view menu) and setting hanging indents of the paragraphs where the bulletted lists are to appear. That will ensure that if/when things 'move around', your base parameters are preserved.

Also, if you're finding that there is a lot of variation between printer output and screen rendering, I suggest that you check to make sure that the fonts (and sizes) you are using are ones that are supported by your printer. If not, font substitution could be occurring and that can account for some unexpected adjustments in the printed output.
