February 26, 200421 yr Newbies Anyone know why suddenly my FM 6 for OS X won't open? I've deleted it and reinstalled it from the CD, but still it won't work. In Classic I probably would have trashed the Prefs file, but I'm not sure what to do in OS X. Please help! Thanks, Ric
February 26, 200421 yr You could try trashing the preferences ~/Library/Preferences/FileMaker Preferences/FileMaker Pro 6.0 Prefs Make a backup copy first, just in case
February 26, 200421 yr Author Newbies Thanks jonesy17, but that didn't work. At least now i know where the prefs are though. Any other ideas?
February 26, 200421 yr Author Newbies yes, thanks. It might be worth mentioning that I had a couple of hard crashes on my Powerbook (Pismo) prior to noticing this problem. Now when I try to open FM the icon bounces exactly twice in the Dock before it gives up the ghost. I installed the Classic version and it works fine.
