Newbies ToddO Posted March 21, 2004 Newbies Posted March 21, 2004 I am having problems with two related file that I have associated to my main database, both files have lost data at some time or another, both still keep the relationship to the parent record, but most but not all of the data in the related record is gone, this has happened in two different file, both to the same relationship, and One has happened twice, I spent hours retyping the missing data, then one week later it happened again. Any ideas, This solution has been runing flawlessly for years, i just started having this problem a month or so ago, and nothe changed on the computer or software. So I am stumped I have checked the relationships, and everything is fine, I don't know if the file is corupt, or what Any help ? Version: v6.x Platform: Windows XP
Vaughan Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 Does another copy of the databases exist anywhere on the network? It often happens that one of the rogue copies gets opened and the data is entered into it, then it closes and users connect again to the main file. "nothe changed on the computer or software" Go back and check, I'll bet that something has changed.
