caro3252 Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 anyone can tell me what is the best way to "refresh" a screen?: I have a layout in which you input values for several fields and at the bottom of it (after gathering the information typed in by the user and the info in other DB) it gives a total. (the fields "set" are setup in a portal: each portal row gather info that is use to calculate the final value.). when I'm done inputing the date in the portal row, and I click anywhere outside the portal and I get the updated final value, but wanted to set a button/command which the user can click on to update the value (instead of having to figure out that the value will be update if they click outside the portal). I tried it with a button set to "refresh" a window, but did't work. any ideas??? FileMaker Version: 6 Platform: Windows XP
