pmusaev Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I would like to upgrade my companies system of forms and tools to help the managers increase their productivity. I was hoping I could gather a sizeable collection of "Tips&Tricks" and things to look out for and things to consider from the community here at FMForums.com ... The system is a collection of forms to use for historical purposes, Drawings Transmittals, Fax Cover Sheets, etc... and right now I am planning something of the following: Create a central database holding contact information and have the remaining information fill in itself automatically when the company name is identified (say in the Fax Cover Sheet, all you have to type is the company name). I would like to incorporate the function where if you type say "Ch" there will be a list of items for you to pick from (to avoid having to type the exact spelling). Download the Dynamic Menu plugin and create a custom menu bar. Prevent un-authorized access to layout view and defining fields. Create one file as the "Menu" and have it always available on the screen for one click access to all files of the system. These are my initial (general) thoughts, if you have a free moment... would you mind advising me in ways that I need to be advised and just offering your professional opinions. Thank you all in advance.
