Is it possible to have animated gif files in filemaker?

I know I could either have them free on a layout, or put them in some sort of container field.

Do either of those options let the gif file actually 'play'?

Just as a thought to try and create an animated user interface.

Hi, Batfastad! It didn't work for me.... I added an animated GIF to both the layout and a container field and they just sat there staring at me, so it doesn't seem so in FM5 or FM6... I didn't bother w/FM4.

Yeah I tried it and it didn't work.

Wondered whether it was something wrong with my settings or anything but obviously not.

Bit of a shame but oh well.
