I have a send mail script for a solution that uses Outlook Express. It mail script works on my computer but does not even call up Outlook Express on my clients PC. I have looked in the msconfig win.ini file and there is no [Mail] setup as stated necessary within FileMaker Help. How do I install this win.ini file?

I'm a newbie and really need to know howto send an email too!

I cant figure out how to send 1 record as an email (ie a customers invoice)

we are a very small company and I've just been given filemaker 7 to learn from scratch. I'm really struggling in the email section,

many thanks for anyones time.

Hi Mark, welcome to FM Forums!

This is the entire mail block from my win.ini (Win 98 using OE):

---BEGIN CODE---

[Mail]

MAPI=1

MAPIX=1

---END CODE---

I imagine you could just paste that at the end of the file if you edit it with Notepad. Of course, you'll have to reboot for it to take effect. I don't know what any of it means, but it looks harmless enough; if i were you, though, i'd check Microsoft's knowledge base for win.ini issues.

Does this help?

Jerry
