How can I move a CSV file to another sub-directory

Featured Replies

I import the file to get the data that I need. I can create the file name from this data. The file will need to go to a specific sub-directory based on the data collected. I can't find a way to copy or move a CSV file.

You will need to use a plugin to manage files/folders I recommend Troi File Plug In

Hi, Larry. You could also use a batch file to move the import file if your source directory, target directory, and file name are always the same. But if not, go with what Stephen said. Troi is a great plug-in and allows you a lot more flexibility.

DOS batch files would work perfectly. How do I initiate one from FM?

Larry

Look at WinBatch. If you don't need the Compiler version, its fairly cheap and will do a lot more than what you're asking for.winbatch

I have found the answer.

The SEND MESSAGE script allows you to run batch files

Thanks

Larry

Righto.

(But i still recommend Troi.)
