I have a database posted on the internet for my customers to use, and some users are experiencing "unknown error 972" when trying to access the database, which means invalid password. These users insist they are using the correct password, with the correct case. Is there any possible issue with browser configuration and/or cookies that could affect login?

Hi, tigerfan! I think FileMaker only officially supported Internet Explorer for FM5-6 web publishing. We did not have password issues with other browsers but we don't really let web users login, anyway. We did have other issues with non-IE browsers (esp. Netscape 4 and under) but it has been a while since anyone has complained/notified us. I'd recommend you ask them what they're using and then try to trap for that error on your error page so you can let folks know you're working on it and would appreciate their reporting the error to you with their info and circumstances.
