The Send Apple Events in FM5 no longer work in FM6 with MS Office 2004 on a G4 Mac running OSX 10.3.4

Example:

Send Apple Event - Script text :

run("'M196 SPC'!get_cd_data","FALSE")

This runs an excel macro directly from FM and automatically creates charts in excel on FM5 with Excel 97 but not on FM6 with Office 2004

There are major differences between these applications and OS systems.

Has anyone found an answer to this problem.

It seems a backward step to add a button to Excel to run the script.

Do I need to learn XML and run macros in .xlm format ?
