Sorting Related Value Lists, another way.

This is simple enough if you choose a second field to sort by. However then in the related value-list pop-up the second field is sitting there, and if it's not relevant to the field it could confuse users. Is there any other way?

Seems like I run across simple issues/problems and FM's limitations to handle them every few minutes, and I have to say it's a little annoying spending hours trying to figure ways around them. I feel like a monkey with a $10,000 Snap-On toolbox...

Anyway, I thought if I could come up with a calc that would multiple the automated serial number of a new record with an invisible character that I could sort the value-list by that "invisible" result (then it's contents wouldn't show up in the value-list) but I have no idea how to multiply a text field by a number field and get a result that means anything, especially carriage returns or spaces.

Second, I thought I should just use a portal, but I don't want user to be able to modify the related value-list in anyway.

That's about it I guess.....
